We invi­te you to the Euro­pean #sym­po­si­um “Tack­ling rising ener­gy cos­ts: the role of cli­ma­te poli­cy in sup­port­ing vul­nerable groups”, on the 28th of March 2023 from 10:00am to 5.00pm.
With a hybrid #event for­mat, par­ti­ci­pa­ti­on will be pos­si­ble both in-per­son in Ber­lin as well as digi­tal­ly. Of cour­se, we would be more than hap­py to wel­co­me as many of you as pos­si­ble in person.

Why should you attend?
In light of rising #ener­gy­pri­ces and the cost-of-living cri­sis, rese­arch at the inter­sec­tion of the vul­nerabi­li­ty dis­cour­se and cli­ma­te poli­cy has come to the fore­front of public and poli­cy deba­tes across Euro­pe. The need for #sus­tainable, long-term chan­ges in the housing and mobi­li­ty sec­tors that sup­port the most vul­nerable in our #socie­ty have beco­me ever more appa­rent. With the intro­duc­tion of the #ETS2 and the asso­cia­ted #Social­Cli­ma­te­Fund, the­se ques­ti­ons will con­ti­nue to grow in importance in the coming years.
Tog­e­ther we would like to dis­cuss how vul­nerable groups and house­holds can be iden­ti­fied, which indi­ca­tors may be useful in this regard, and explo­re poli­ci­es and mea­su­res that tack­le ener­gy and trans­port poverty.
